Golf Fundraiser Success!

posted Aug 19, 2012, 9:21 PM by Rob Kraus

Although I am far past overdue for a blog post, I want to sincerely thank all those who helped Secure the Cure, Inc. make our first golf outing a great success. We had all 43 registered players in attendance and were able to pull in a total of 9 teams to play in the event.

The success we have enjoyed allowed us to add a significant amount of money to the funds we use to support families undergoing cancer treatment and also build up some reserve for the donation we plan on presenting to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society later this year.

I personally enjoyed meeting all of the players who participated this year and all the great Hole Sponsors and Prize Sponsors that contributed to our cause. The event exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to next year.

We have some fun door prizes and hole contest prizes lined up as well. Looks like it is shaping up to be a fun event.

We are pleased to announce the Internal Revenue Service has completed its review of our 501c3 application and has granted Secure the Cure, Inc. with 501c3 status.

On November 30, 2011, Secure the Cure’s Rob Kraus and Jon Strandlie had the pleasant opportunity of presenting Digital Defense with a Foundation Donor recognition plaque. Digital Defense sponsored an all employee meeting and allowed Secure the Cure to provide an overview of its charity and answer questions about its initiatives.

Many great questions were asked about Secure the Cure’s goals and mission. It was a great event and we look forward to working with Digital Defense in the future.

Several questions were asked about volunteer opportunities. Stay tuned, we will soon be posting information on the web site about our volunteer needs and how people can help!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Dane Patrick from Dane Patrick Law Offices to present him with the Foundation Donor recognition plaque. Without the hard work and contributions of Dane and his team, Secure the Cure would not have achieved the level of success we are already experiencing.
